Forest tradition and heritage – with a twist

Freeminers President Rich Daniels, Commoners Association Secretary Mick Holder, Elaine Mormon – the first female freeminer – and Andy Jones of Littledean Gaol, all set the context of the heritage of the Forest past, present and future, for one of our members Maria Edey’s new play, ‘Stuff ’em an’ kip ’em safe’, (with a good sprinkling of dialect included) playing at the Lydney Town Hall on Sat 11 November at 7.30 pm.

Maria’s play, based on her book of the same name and described as a dark comedy, draws on the practical, no-nonsense attitude of Foresters when faced with a rather horrific dilemma
